Dr. Joshua Schimmel is a board-certified dermatologist known for delivering thoughtful, personalized care to patients of all ages. He specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with particular interests in complex skin conditions, skin-cancer detection and treatment, and helping patients feel confident in their skin. Patients value his clear communication, attention to detail, and collaborative approach to treatment.

Dr. Schimmel completed his dermatology residency at the University of Colorado, where he was honored with the Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award and trained extensively in surgical, pediatric, and complex medical dermatology. He earned his medical degree from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland with a degree in Kinesiology.

He has published over a dozen articles and book chapters in peer-reviewed dermatology journals and presented at both national and regional dermatology conferences. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and scored in the top percentiles on every section of the American Board of Dermatology exam.
