PRP for Hair Rejuventation
Improve your hair density without surgery or harmful side effects with Platelet-Rich Plasma.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is blood plasma with concentrated platelets. These platelets contain proteins and growth factors that are vital to initiating and accelerating the body’s natural reparative processes. PRP is a ground-breaking biotechnology that has shown promise in the healing of soft-tissue, ligaments, tendons and bones, promoting the development of new blood vessels, activating new collagen formation, stimulating the wound healing process and in this case, stimulate hair growth.
Who Can Benefit from PRP Injections?
- Both Men and Women
- Those who suffer from androgenic alopecia or other forms of alopecia (also known as male/female male pattern baldness).
- A sizable age range of people.
- Those who have recently experienced hair loss.
- Those with thinning or balding hair, but not completely bald people. PRP injections are meant to thicken, strengthen and grow hair from follicles that are still functioning.
How Does it Work?
Platelets contain healing growth factors. Those growth factors are like signal callers that give instructions to your tissue to regenerate and multiply. PRP Therapy uses injections of a concentration of your own platelets to help grow thinning hair. Side effects of PRP injections are very limited because, since the injections are created from your own blood, your body will not reject or react negatively to them.

PRP injections are prepared by taking anywhere from one to a few tubes of your own blood and running it through a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These activated platelets are then injected directly to the scalp with a syringe after local anesthetic has been applied.
