Scott Mahlberg, DO, “Dr. Scott,” is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon specializing in medical dermatology, skin cancer management, and complex surgical reconstruction. Putting patients first, he values listening and connecting with every patient to provide the best possible treatment outcomes.

Born and raised in Northern Colorado, Dr. Scott graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder as a President’s Leadership Class Scholar. He was elected to the Sigma Sigma Phi Honors Society during medical school at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Southern California. Dr. Scott then completed his medical residency at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. While at Case Western, he was selected to many leadership roles including Chief Resident and was awarded the Melanoma Research Award for his efforts to improve the management of melanoma across the country.

Dr. Scott remained at Case Western as Clinical Assistant Professor to complete a coveted fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology, training under Program Director Dr. Jeremy Bordeaux, MD, MPH. While in fellowship, he specialized in rare and high-risk skin cancers, complex surgical reconstruction, and facilitated weekly multidisciplinary meetings to discuss the treatment and management of cutaneous malignancies.

Dr. Scott is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, Colorado Dermatologic Society, and American Medical Association. He  continues to publish and contribute as a reviewer to many peer-reviewed journals, lecture at national conferences, and mentor numerous medical trainees across the nation.

Dr. Scott is thrilled to serve patients in his home state of Colorado. He and his wife have three children and are active members of their parish community.
